Perhaps they are not
stars in the sky,
but rather openings
where our loved ones
shine down
to let us know they
are happy.

It was with great sadness that I heard Bob Owens passed away a few days ago. In 1969, Bob convinced me to move from the headquarters of Arbitron in Beltsville, MD to work with him in New York City. I owe this window of opportunity solely to Bob and, along with my family, always will be grateful to Bob. On another note, I remember a beastly winter day with snow, sleet and rain when Bob drove from NYC to Danbury, CT when my Mom passed away. I met Bob’s former wife, Shelia, and children years ago when they lived in Connecticut. God be with you all. Bill McClenaghan , Norwalk, CT.

It is with sadness but relief that I say good-bye to my grandfather. What a wonderful and interesting man who lived an exciting and accomplished life. Though we were not close recently due to his illness, I have many loving and warm memories of him from my childhood and young adulthood. He will be greatly missed. I love you, Pop Owens.

It gives me great peace to know that my father's arduous battle is over. His vitality, love of life, and dashing presence is what continued to sustain me when he was suffering from dementia. He will be sorely missed by all that were blessed to know him. I love you, Dad.

Thank goodness memories of our loved ones never die, they sustain us through the rough times and bring us comfort and joy. I wish this for the entire family.

Think of me, think of me fondly,
when we've said goodbye.
Remember me once in a while -
please promise me you'll try.
When you find that, once again, you long to take your heart back and be free -if you ever find a moment,
spare a thought for me
