Robert Sachs Obituary
January 4, 1939 - July 9, 2023
Robert Maury Sachs passed away peacefully at the age of 84, surrounded by loved ones. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Robert had a successful career in the textile industry after graduating from the University of Maryland.
Robert's greatest passion was photography, earning him numerous awards and allowing him to capture the world through his lens. He also found balance in practicing Tai Chi, enjoyed golfing with friends and family, and had a love for sailing.
He cherished his 56-year marriage with his wife, Dee Ann Sachs, and was a constant source of love and support to his sons, Daniel and Jonathan. Robert had a special bond with his sister, Stephanie Levine.
His family will receive friends on Thursday July 13th, from 4-7 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, CT. Robert will be laid to rest on Friday July 14th, 12 noon, at St. Johns Cemetery 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT. The family is also planning a celebration of life to honor Robert at a later time. Details to be shared.

I was so sorry to just learn of Bob's passing. He was such a great guy -- always a smile and a good conversation. I was happy to have known him through RAC. His photographs will continue to live in my memories. My deepest Sympathy to his family.
