Ronald Corcillo Obituary
Ronald John Corcillo, 86, died on Oct. 15, 2021 in New York City. As owner of the Norwalk Book Shop, he brought the joy of reading to many local book lovers; but friends and family also remember him as the king of the dance floor, the star of the skating rink, the soul of the softball team and the guy who was always up for another set of tennis. However you knew him, you probably thought he was the best dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle, great uncle, boss, neighbor, teammate or friend you could ever have.
Ron is survived by his wife Jane Reynolds Corcillo; his daughters Libby (Cliff Tager), Barbara, Judy, Peggy (Dave Pietsch), and son Ron (Geralyn) Corcillo; grandchildren Megan (Sean Martin), Amy (Anant Ahuja) and Sara (Mike Westover) Vallerie, Allie and Christopher O'Brien and Cole, Ryder and Graham Pietsch; great-grandchildren Charlotte and Thomas Westover and Sai, Shiv, Samir and Shaan Ahuja; sister Lorraine Cannizzo, and a host of loving relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Margaret Corcillo, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Ron's family will welcome friends on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 5-8 p.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, followed by burial at St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk.
Memorial donations may be made to aggiehouse.org, a transitional housing program co-founded by Ron's granddaughter Allie at UC Davis, or by the Norwalk Youth Symphony.

My condolences to Ron´s family. So sorry to read of his passing. We had a great professional relationship over 30 years as he fulfilled book orders and weekly requests of the Brien McMahon English Department. A truly nice man.

May he rest in peace. I worked at Russo's Mobil on west Ave back in the early 80's. Ron was a customer and was a great man! Good bless him and his family!

Ron's store was always a welcoming, thoughtful place. If he didn't have the book you wanted, he would always order it for you. The true joy of going to the Norwalk Book Store, though, was Ron himself. He was a wonderful guy, and I have always thought of him fondly over the years.
