Santa Lapolla Obituary

Santa Gesualdi Lapolla, 73, of New Canaan, formerly of Ridgefield from 1975 - 2006 died Friday, November 26, 2010 at Norwalk Hospital.

She was lovingly known as Santina to her friends and family.

Born May 22, 1937 in Panni, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Michele & Annantonia Cotoia Gesualdi.

She is survived by her husband, Generoso Lapolla of New Canaan, her son, Michael Lapolla of Manhattan, her daughter, Grace Lapolla of New Canaan, her two brothers, Alfonso Gesualdi, of Olathe, CO and Nick Gesualdi of New Canaan and her aunt, Sarah Ruggiero of New Canaan. Many nieces, nephews and cousins both in the United States and Italy also survive.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan at 10:00 Am. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan.

The family will receive friends at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St. New Canaan, on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from 4-9 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 3838 Main Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851
