CENTRAL CITY - Frances Lynn "Fran" Moore, 64, of Central City died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at home.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating.

Mrs. Moore was born Sept. 13, 1947, in Hastings to Frank and Verna (Daily) Hulme.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband-Walter of Central City; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mark Buscher; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Russell and Chris Moore, Michael Moore, all of Grand Island.

Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, Cody, Joshua, KrisAnn, Austin, Jacob, Breanna, Henry and Jordan.

Fran grew up in Hastings and Hansen and graduated from Doniphan High School in 1965. On March 22, 1968, she was united in marriage to Walter B. Moore in Kearney. Walter's job with the railroad resulted in relocations to North Platte and Hansen, before they made their home in Central City. Fran worked at the cafeteria for Central City Public Schools and Central Catholic Schools in Grand Island for several years. Fran received her Dietary Management Certification and she worked as a dietary supervisor for Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City for 15 years. Fran retired from the hospital and worked several years at Subway in Central City.

Fran loved traveling with her husband, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she enjoyed bowling and dogs.

Her parents, Frank and Verna Hulme and her sister, Margaret Smets welcomed her into heaven.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother & wife. When visiting your home your Mom was always laughing and having a good time-she always made me feel welcome and just like one of the kids. May your memories bring you comfort at this time of loss-and I'm thinking of all of you and your families.
