Edward Brozek Obituary

SUN CITY, Ariz. - Edward F. "Mr. B" Brozek, 71, of Sun City, Ariz., died Monday, April 4, 2011, after a fight with Alzheimer's and lung disease.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Advantage Maryvale Funeral Home in Phoenix.

His ashes will be placed in the Grand Island City Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Brozek was born July 21, 1939, in Bayonne, N.J., to John and Julia Brozek.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Jane, and a daughter, Candace.

"Mr. B" retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1980 after 22 years of service. He went on to work for Civil Service for another 22 years, retiring in 2004. Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing in Nebraska and also playing golf. He will be dearly missed.

Instead of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Lung Association.

I worked for Mr. Brozek in the mid 90's and again in the late 90's. I always said he was one of the best supervisors I ever worked for and was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I always hoped that upon a return trip to Phoenix I would be able to fit in a visit with him. Farewell Mr B The world seems a little less bright now that you've passed.
