I am a cousin on the Pomeroy side. I remember him visiting in Newfoundland when I was a little girl ... he was so big in my eyes he was scary... The last time I saw him was over 20 years ago at a family wedding . He was loved and will be missed.

When I met Stan I was 18 years young. But when my MOM found out Stan was the same age as her I thought Stan was going to see stars and I don't mean in the ring. But as usual Stan got beyond it all with his smile and personality. Even my brothers and sisters took a strong liking to him. Stan would always stay "Gayle you need to write a book about your life and I would say "I would need to change my name to protect the innocent and he would laugh a belly laugh and say "No, I'm the innocent one change my name...Then I would say no,no your name would make it a Best Seller. I could go on forever, but I'm sure my MOM is burrning his off. I will Miss You Until We meet Again. LOVE FOREVER AND ALWAYS. GAYLE

Words alone cannot express our sympathy on the untimely death of your beloved husband, father, brother and friend. To say that his time with us was far too short is an understatement. The reality is that he will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him.

No doubt the outpouring of sympathy you have received since his parting has been of some consolation. Hopefully it will serve as a reminder to you of how well-loved and liked he was.

I hope that you and your family will find peace and comfort in knowing that his suffering is over and that his just rewards await him.

May God bless you and your wonderful family.

Yours In Faith,
MaryAnn and Todd Vazzano

I will always have great memories of Stan, I met him when I was around 15 or 16 in the jocks room at Fonner Park. Stan always had a smile on his face and a greated you like you were family. Over the years after coming back home to Nebraska for my visits, whenever I saw Stan it was always a big smile and a happy greeting. Stan, you will be missed by many and I want you to know that when all of us think of you we will have a smile on our face, remembering the good times.

I ll never forget all the times Eric told me about his wrestling days when I worked in Osceola, many moons ago. He was a great friend, I feel privileged to have known him. He gave me one of his wrestling pictures, autographed, and I still have it and cherish it.

My heart will ache until we meet again. I am such a lucky person to have had you as a papa! I will never forget sitting in your lap and rubbing your belly and calling you Buda! I will never forget you taking me camping or fishing, roller skating, teaching me how to ride my bike, building snow men, our rolling pull car, spending hours watching wrestling shows, sitting in the hot tub, building things, building the fountain, sitting in your lap while your hair gets done, helping pick out horses at the track, most of all your stories and witty sense of humor, you had a laugh that lit up a room! I love you so much and will continue to look for your spirit around me!

It was my honor to know Stan during his race track years. As an avid wrestling fan, I was excited to meet the Mad Russian. He quickly calmed me down (so no one else would hear me), to tell me his name was Stan. That started a long-lasting friendship. Stan was one of those guys you could always count on! For those of you who wonder - he always told me with a big smile that professional wrestling was 100% real!
