Eunice was born on February 1, 1937, to parents Joseph and Edna (Deibert) Corey in Eckley, Colorado. She was born at home welcomed by five brothers and sisters.

Eunice graduated from McCook High School in May of 1955. On September 18, 1955, she married the love of her life, Raymond Kehler. They were married in the Church of God in McCook, Nebraska. Three children blessed this union.

Ray's work with the Bureau of Reclamation allowed Eunice to develop many friendships and faith opportunities in the communities where they lived. She volunteered in her Churches and was very active in her children's lives. Eunice was a homemaker at first but found time to enhance the lives of homemakers by teaching them how to paint with Artex Hobby Paints. In 1975 she was the top salesperson in the Nebraska Region.

Ray and Eunice retired in Grand Island. They enjoyed being near their grandchildren and attended many activities.

Genealogy and history were important parts of Eunice 's retirement. She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Mayflower Society. She was also a published Poet, having many appear in the Silver Salute. She was one of the founding members establishing the Prayer Shawl Ministry at First Presbyterian Church. She was also active in the sewing circle and quilting group.

She was immensely proud of the friends she made while mentoring through the Grand Island Literacy Program, helping many attain Citizenship. Eunice was the Literacy Volunteer of the year in 2022.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Edna Corey; husband, Raymond; siblings, Vivian (James) Dunlap, Eugene (Mardell) Corey Kenneth Corey, Phillip Corey, and Helen Gillen; and grandson, Nicolas Phillip Letheby.

Thank you for sharing your Mom and Dad with Cory and I. Your Mom invited Cory and I to GI several times for Cory to meet the last standing Kehler man. Unch Ray's eyesight was not the best, but he was certain that Cory was Billy's grandson. Even when he forgot my name. Your Mom was a jewel regarding having us over. She helped me tremdously when I was lonely and needed a retreat. She will forever be in our hearts. She was a "great egg"

Eunice was a favorite of mine at Tabitha. She was a sweetheart but she also had some spunk. She was the first person I met when my mother moved in. May she rest in peace!
