Everyone who knew Fred was blessed. He was a lovely classmate all through school and a great human being!

Fred and I shared almost all of our classes at school and activities at church. He was such a good, good man and friend. Of course, he was so smart and was happy to answer any questions I had, but he also knew when to listen. I just thoroughly enjoyed being with him. I love that he played pickle ball, even if I've never seen it played. And we shared a love of music too. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends, especially his wife. His life was such a blessing to so many people. I hope those memories of him will help to heal your hearts.

For three years, 1972-1975, I worked closely with Fred in Nebraska and came to know him well. I appreciated the way he cared for his physically challenged parents. Then as fate would have it, he also did the same with his first wife, Penny, as she struggled with physical limitations. Fred was an intern and resident during those years as he was in training to fulfill a life mission as a General Practitioner doctor. Fred great inspiration in the writings of Reinhold Niebuhr whom he quoted constantly during those years. Though many years have passed since then, I have always felt a strong connection with Fred. I'm grateful to have shared some time with him during our life journies.
