GRAND ISLAND - Joyce R. Fix, 76, of Grand Island, passed away on April 19, 2024 at Tiffany Square Care Center. Per her wishes, cremation was chosen, and a burial of ashes will be held at a later date. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Joyce was born on June 1, 1947 in Smith Center, KS to Eugene and Peggy (Smith) French. She was raised and received her education in Kansas, graduating from high school in 1965. She then went on to attend Kearney State for a year and a half before transferring to Brown Mackey School of Business.

On June 1, 1968, Joyce was united in marriage to Robert Fix. Two children were born into this union. Joyce worked as an office manager at ITI in Grand Island, retiring due to health reasons.

Joyce was a member of Trinity Unted Methodist Church, and a past honored Queen of Job's Daughters. In her spare time, Joyce loved to go shopping and traveling for antique shows. In her younger years, she enjoyed doing puzzles and was known to have a beautiful singing voice.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Angela (John) McGrath; grandson, Matthew; sister, Margene (Loyd) Taylor; son-in-law, Tim Sucha; and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Jill Sucha; parents; brother, Tom; and her grandparents.

Memorials are suggested to St. Croix Hospice.
