Martha Hoerle Obituary

BARTLETT - Martha Ann Hoerle, 67, of Bartlett died Friday, March 2, 2012, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Chambers. Burial will be in the Bartlett Cemetery. Pastor Terry Makelin will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

Monday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bartlett. Hitchcock Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hoerle was born July 19, 1944, at Spalding to Emil and Josephine (Stromer) Plugge.

Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Dave Hoerle; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tricia and Bryan Rump of Omaha and Tamara and Reg Roth of Wolbach; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor and Marsha Plugge of Ord, Jesse and Connie Plugge of Bartlett, William Plugge of Bartlett, and Roy and Lu Plugge of Bartlett.

Other survivors include four grandchildren, Nathan and Jordan Rump and Madeline and Cj Roth, and a special niece, Jessica McConnell of Lincoln.

Martha graduated from Wheeler County High School in 1962. The summer after graduation she worked for Stan Huffman, cooking for men. In the fall of 1962 she attended the Denver Parks School of Business, earning an associate degree. In 1964, Martha moved to Omaha and worked for Mutual of Omaha until she married David Lee Hoerle on Nov. 28, 1964, in Chambers, Neb. In June of 1965, she started working for the Ericson State Bank for 45 years, retiring in 2010.

Martha enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, knitting and her grandchildren's activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wayne Plugge, and his wife, Gloria; and a sister, Gladys McConnell.

Memorials are suggested to the Red Cross.

We were only able to see Martha on special occassions when we visited Trisha and Bryan in Omaha. She was such a great person, always so SWEET and WARM. I know she will be missed by all!
