Michael Palu Obituary
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Adam Snoberger will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 10, at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Michael was born June 13, 1958, in Grand Island, to Elvin and Carol Jean (Hunt) Palu. A lifelong resident of Grand Island, Mike graduated from Grand Island Central Catholic High School in 1977.
On June 10, 1979, Mike was united in marriage to Valerie Juedes. One child was born into this union. Mike was a carpenter and was employed by Carmichael Construction of Hastings, then Essink Drywall of Grand Island, and finally, Lacy Construction until his retirement in 2011.
Mike was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Valerie; his daughter, Kellie (David) Antle of Grand Island; five grandchildren, Jack, Jase, James, Jedidiah and Johnathan, and one more on the way; his siblings, Thomas Palu of Grand Island, David (Betty) Palu of Grand Island, and Amy Pacheco-Bloch of Lexington, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Gaylord Martens of Grand Island; and many extended family and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Susan Martens; and his mother and father-in-law; Melvin and Evea Juedes.
