Norma Jean was born March 25, 1928, at Tilden to John and Eleanor (Papiernik) Walker. She was raised on farms throughout Central Nebraska and received her early education by traveling on the Troop Trains from Litchfield to Grand Island. In 1946, she graduated from St. Paul High School.
Norma was a teacher in a country school before she met Harry Kramer. The couple was united in marriage on June 15, 1948, at St. Paul. While making their home in Ord, Norma worked at the New Café and was the secretary for the family owned business, "Kramer's Garage". For 21 years, Norma worked at the Valley County Hospital in the dietary department and retired in 1991.
Norma was a great mother and grandmother. She was the rock of the family and will be deeply missed by all. She loved and cherished caring for and cooking for her grandchildren. They are left with many memories of their times spent with her.
Norma enjoyed birds, gardening and canning; especially tomatoes. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Altar Society and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her three children, Deb Kinney, Jerry Kramer, and Peggy and Gene Arduser all of Ord; six grandchildren, John and Nikki Hlavinka, April Hlavinka and her significant other, Jeremy Lemburg, Brent and Michaela Iwanski, Dustin and Carly Arduser, Shane and Heidi Arduser, and Sadie Arduser and significant other, Brandon Rosberg; seven great-grandchildren, Gavin Iwanski, Gracie and Ashton Huggins, Brent and Brodie Schipporeit and Beckett and Scout Arduser; a brother, Norman Walker of Ord; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joey and Connie Kramer of Box Elder, S.D.
