Phyllis LeVon Anderson, 97, of Grand Island, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Memorial service and a celebration of Phyllis' life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 20th at All Faiths Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church.
Phyllis was born on March 6, 1928, in Grand Island, daughter of Raymond and Nanny (Smith) Carlson. On November 4, 1944, Phyllis married Johnny M. Anderson.
Phyllis was a Grand Island resident for her entire 97 years. She was employed at Fairacres Dairy for nearly 20 years, then Berkeley Pumps before joining Grand Island Public Schools as a lunch server at Barr Middle School.
Phyllis especially enjoyed her time spent at the Platt Deutsche playing cards.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews and great friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny in 2015; parents; brothers, Clifford Carlson and Jack Carlson; sisters, Betty, Helen, Mildred, and an infant sister.
