Wanda Franklin
September 22, 1933 - September 26, 2024
KEARNEY - Wanda Franklin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully September 26, 2024, at Prairie View Gardens in Kearney. Wanda lived a full life marked by her faith, love for the family farm, her family, her generosity to the community and her unwavering strength.
Wanda was born September 22, 1933, in Wallace. She married her high school sweetheart, Lowell Franklin on December 27, 1951. To his loving union three children were born, Mark, Carol and Kurt. Lowell preceded her in death in 1998.
In 2001, Wanda moved to Kearney. She met and later married Leonard Skov and they were together until he passed away.
Wanda grew up with a passion for helping others, which she carried throughout her life. Known for her warm spirit and dedication to her loved ones, Wanda always put others first and brought joy to everyone she encountered. Whether through her kind words or thoughtful gestures, Wanda's presence was a source of comfort and inspiration.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Donna Clemens.
Wanda's legacy of kindness, love and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She is survived by her children, Mark, (Lynell) Franklin, Carol (Curt) Wegner and Kurt Franklin (Natalie Jahnke); grandchildren: Jason (Shawna) Franklin, Jeremy Franklin (Lindsey Stevens), Dave (Tiffany) Favinger, Dustin (Lindsey) Favinger, Ashley Franklin, Mariah (Tyler) Wiseman, Casey Wegner, Carly (Zach) Claussen; great-grandchildren: Paige, Colt and Joe Franklin, Riley, Hayley and Eddie, Johnathan, Blaine and Josie Franklin, Boone and Bodey, Jaden and Kinsley Favinger, Dylan Favinger, Lucas and Whitney Wiseman, Evelyn Wegner, and Maxwell and Logan Claussen; and a wide circle of friends who cherished her deeply.
Wanda will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Funeral service is 11 a.m., October 2, 2024 at the Wallace Methodist Church. Burial to follow in Morningview Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Odean Colonial Chapel in North Platte is in charge of arrangements.

I worked with Wanda at The Archway Monument !
I enjoyed her and Leonard very much and even took their Wedding pictures!
She was a beautiful, loving and a very classy woman!
I´m so glad I got to know her!
