Warrington - Lars "Peter" Jensen of Warrington, PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 7, 2021. Peter immigrated to the United States from Denmark in 2001.
Peter was born on December 16, 1951 to Halfdan and Ketty Jensen (nee Kristensen). Raised primarily by his beloved mother, Peter was one of two sons. He spent many happy days with his brother Mads. Peter was born in Hvidovre a small town outside of Copenhagen. As an adult he travelled the world while working as an apprenticed engineer fitter. He lived in Denmark, Africa and Asia before settling in the United States where he worked in the maintenance department at Norristown State Hospital. Mechanically inclined, Peter enjoyed restoring equipment to functionality.
Peter is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years (September 2001), Beverly Jensen (Watts). He is also survived by a niece and nephew who reside in Denmark.
Peter was very caring toward others and would often grab his tool box to help someone with a household emergency.
You could often catch Peter outside with his dogs, gardening or working around the house. He was a dedicated man with a strong work ethic. He will be missed as a stalwart presence in our lives.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 12:00 noon at St. Luke's United Church of Christ 125 N Main Street, North Wales, PA 19454. Parking is available in the parking lot behind the church (entrance on Second Street). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army at 533 Swede Street, Norristown, PA 19401.
