Tucker Thompson Obituary

Tucker J. Thompson
Doylestown - Tucker J. Thompson, of Doylestown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 8, 2021 at his residence. He was 31.
Born and raised in Doylestown Borough, he was the son of William J. and Meg Anne Thompson.
Tucker attended Linden Elementary, Lenape Jr. High School and Central Bucks West High School. He was natural athlete and enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball throughout his youth. He made many friends around the county after playing in the 2007 Bucks County Lions Club All-Star Football Game. Tucker was a lifelong avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams. He most enjoyed calling into sports radio as "Doylestown Tuck" and expressing his views on the sporting events of the day. One of the happiest days of his life was celebrating the Eagles Super Bowl victory on Broad Street at the Eagles Parade.
After a brief stint at East Stroudsburg University, Tucker found employment in Doylestown and York, Pennsylvania, eventually settling into addiction counseling and helping many addicts find a path to sobriety. This issue was important to Tucker as recovering addict himself, something he would struggle with throughout adulthood. Tucker was an outspoken advocate on addiction issues and in removing the stigma surrounding addiction. While he ultimately lost his battle with addiction, he won the respect and hearts of the many he helped. For this, his family is eternally proud of him.
In his free time, he enjoyed raising his daughter Elle Jocelyn Thompson most of all. Elle was the love of Tucker's life, and he was happiest being a father. Tucker had an infectious personality and was quick to make his family and friends laugh. His humor was legendary. Tucker also enjoyed summers at Bethany Beach with his family and yelling at the TV during Eagles games with his father, brother and nephew. Tucker had many friends made throughout his lifetime and always enjoyed seeing them. One friend that deeply impacted Tucker greatly was his dog Rambo, the two were inseparable.
In addition to his parents and daughter, Tucker is survived by his wife, Raelene Gosselin. He will be deeply missed by his brother Travis Thompson; and his sisters, Allison Fischer (Jay), Lindsay Link (Dave) and Jessica Thompson. His seven nieces and nephews, Molly, Jack, Cooper, James, Marty, Amir and Mimi who all knew Tucker's love and laugh and will miss him in their lives.
Tucker's family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington, PA 18976. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tucker's memory may be made to the Bucks County SPCA, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
