The long winter let up just in time for your birthday. Looking out our kitchen window I see daffodils. Purple hyacinths greet me with their wonderful scent of spring as I come into the house. Waters are up enough to paddle. In my mind we will paddle down a nearby lake and into its outlet as far as we can, and then hike the trail along the creek to admire the red and white trillium growing on the steep bank. I am so grateful for the life we had together. I cherish it. I cherish you always.
