I was a PhD student of Prof. George Wolga from 1975-77. He was an incredibly gifted advisor. Although he was building a company, Lansing Research, at that time, he found the time to advise his students. I was going to visit Ithaca one of these days (Aug. 2018), so I decided to look him up - I was sorry to see that he has passed on. May god bless him. I remember him dearly from my students days.

I am very sad because I learnt today the death of my grand-cousin George, and I am sorry I could never meet him. I've met his parents Monia and Fira Willard during their vacations in Glion (Switzerland) with my father Jacob (Yasha) Wolga who was Monia's cousin. I have even exchanged some e-mails with George at the beginning of internet.
