Harry Guidi Obituary
Harry Guidi, born September 14th, 1940 to Emma and the late Fred Guidi, lost his battle with cancer April 2, 2012. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean (Magnus) Guidi. The couple had three children, Anthony (Kristi), Cindy, and Carmen (Nan); seven grandchildren, Joshua (Tina), Zachary, Michael, Nicholas, Marissa, Carmin, Nicole; and one great-grandson, Dominick. He is survived by a brother, Gary (Gladys) Guidi; a sister, Ann (John) Augustine; and several nieces and nephews. Harry also leaves behind his beloved German Shepherd, Phoenix. Harry was a gifted Autobody Repairman. He managed the body shop at Zikakis in downtown Ithaca before building his own shop in Newfield. He co-owned Guidi's Collision, Inc. with his son since 1987 and worked every day until he (semi) retired in 2006. Harry was an avid collector of many "things" including Corvettes and Harley Davidson motorcycles. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14th, at 11:00 a.m. at People's Baptist Church, 364 Main Street in Newfield. The burial will be at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to The Rescue Mission in Syracuse. Bangs Funeral Home will be assisting the family.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Harry's passing. In all the years I have known Harry he was always a sweet warm and kind friend. In the early years I can look back at the time spent remembering him with fun and laughter . As the years have passed we lost touch with our friends but I always hold the memories of Harry in a special place in my heart and smile when i think of him I hope memories will help his family in this time of sorrow. My Deepest sympathy goes to his family for he shall be truly missed. Another of our Newfield honorables has gone to heaven . He is now up there with our other lost loved ones.
