Helen Shulman Obituary

Shulman, Helen Kramer

Westfield, NJ: Helen Kramer Shulman, 89, of Westfield, NJ, and formerly of Ithaca, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, at her family home in Westfield, NJ. Born in Ithaca, NY April 22, 1922 and attended Ithaca public schools, Helen loved to swim in Cayuga Lake where her family kept a cabin. Daughter of the late Nathan and Meryl Ropson Kramer. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who never had a bad word for anybody. She loved drawing, doing crossword puzzles, reading, solitaire, gardening and living a healthy lifestyle which she imparted to her children and grandchildren. Helen attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY prior to marrying Sam Shulman, also of Ithaca, where she studied Art and Design. She was also a Real Estate Sales Agent and worked with her husband at the Fedor Realty Agency of Linden, NJ in later years. Helen leaves behind her loving children: daughters, Linda Levin of New York City and Joan Leavy of Margate, NJ; her son, Jack A. Shulman of Westfield, NJ; along with five loving grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Informal family graveside services will be held Monday, July 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery. Bangs Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
