JAMES E. "JOE" OSGOOD
BRADENTON, FL - James E. "Joe" Osgood, 76, died Friday, August 15, 2003, in Bradenton, FL. He was born in Elmira on December 12, 1926, son of the late William and Anna Haman Osgood.Joe was a retired plumber and was a 50 year member of United Association of Plumber & Pipefitters and was a past president of Local #109. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 312. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #2734 and the Knights of Columbus. He was a long time fan of the Baltimore Orioles and was an avid golfer and bowler. Joe will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.Joe is survived by his wife, Carol L. Dubock Osgood; his children, David (Sandy) Osgood, Kathy (Don) Salvatore, Susan (Mel) Mansfield, Jeanne (Jerry) Jones, Mary Jo (James) Bennett and Joseph (Lynette) Osgood; his stepchildren, Michael, Lori, Bonnie and Anthony Joseph and Cathy (Phil) Stilwell; and 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his sisters, Imogene Kehoe, Patricia Buell, Marianna (Earl) Weaver and Barbara (Henry) Henry; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Edwin and Frank Osgood. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Parish Family.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. Military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the James E. Osgood Apprenticeship Award, c/o TCTC, P.O. Box 702, Trumansburg, NY 14886.
