Marian Keane Obituary
FREEVILLE - Marian E. (Moore) Keane, age 92 of Freeville, NY passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Born May 17, 1924 at home in Freeville, NY she was the daughter of the late W. Franklin and Maud Wells Moore and wife of the late John F. Keane who died in 1984. She was a lifelong resident of Freeville, NY and for many years was a postal clerk at the Freeville Post Office until her retirement. Marian is survived by her daughter, Sherry Wood of Syracuse, NY; son, Gary Wood of Cortland, NY; grandchildren, Andrew, Christopher, Leah and Jason; great grandchildren, Tressa, Samara, Gabriel, Tyler, Romy and Sienna and many nieces and nephews. In addition she was predeceased by her son, Donald L. Wood, Jr; brothers, Charles, Victor and Donald Moore; sisters, Marie Olds and Lucia Wheeler; and the father of her children, Donald Lawrence Wood. Calling hours will be held from 1-3 pm, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. A memorial service will be held at W.B. Strong Fire Company, Freeville, NY on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 12-4 pm. Burial will be in the family lot at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to W.B. Strong Fire Company OR Rescue Squad, PO Box 129, Freeville, NY 13068. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com

Our summer visits to Grandma were always the highlight of our trip. Grandma was funny, loving, unique and such a strong woman.
Our hours with her were filled with laughter. Our happy memories are giving us strength in this difficult time.
She will be deeply missed.
