I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was such a fabulous mentor and friend at the years I spent studying Nutrition and Food Science at Cornell. I did several teaching assistant assignments with her and she taught me so much about delving deeper into published research studies to derive my own conclusions and to share those with breakout groups that she organized. It was a very empowering experience. Marge also "saved my butt" when I discovered that I was 1 credit short - just 2 weeks before graduation. She offered to have me write a research paper for 1 credit. Probably the best paper I ever wrote in college...btw. Got an A. I am grateful to this day that she cared enough to offer me these opportunities. What a wonderful woman! God bless her soul .

I am sad to hear about Dr. Devine's passing. She was the professor for my first Human Nutrition & Food Course at Cornell, leading to a career in food science, nutrition and nutrition labeling. She was a wonderful teacher and leader.

Sorry to hear about Marge's passing. She was in the Catatonk Wood Carvers in Candor, NY (18 m. from Ithaca) for many years. We all had such a great time, much laughter, and we remember her fondly. - Fran Howe and the other carvers.
