Estelle, Michael J.

Michael J. Estelle, 59, of Montour Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 25, 2015 at home. He was born on June 8, 1956, the son of the late Gerald and Barbara (Personeus) Estelle, Jr. He graduated from Dryden High School and from Morrisville State College where he studied animal husbandry. Michael worked at BorgWarner, Inc. in Ithaca for over 30 years. Michael was a true animal lover. He loved dogs and cats and had a great passion for Dairy Farming. He had a great sense of humor, always ready to tell a good joke. Michael had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his loving companion of 18 years, Sonja Howser; his children, Jeremy (Sheri) Estelle of Candor, Patrick (Kristen) Estelle of Endwell, Ami Pierce of Meshoppen, PA, Emilee Smith of Summerville, SC, Larry Howser of Ithaca, and Kelly Williammee of Ithaca; grandchildren, Tyler McLaughlin, Sage Estelle, Iris McKeever-Estelle, Kaleigh Wood-Estelle and several other grandchildren; brother, Stephen Estelle; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William (Elizabeth Williammee of Frostproof, FL; brothers in-law and sisters-in-law, David Williammee of CA, Tammy Wolf of MD, William Williammee, Jr. of Ithaca, Bryan Clark of FL, Ronda Buchanan of Ithaca, and Elizabeth Seymour of Trumansburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Maxine Denson. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Schuyler County. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. I have many fond memories of hanging out with the kids at the house in Candor. He and Sonja were always so welcoming and always had a joke or a funny story to share.
