Nellie Haskins Obituary
Ithaca: Nellie Haskins (Sinn), 84, formerly of Ithaca, NY died on Saturday September 27, 2014 in Cortlandt Manor New York. Nellie is survived by her daughter Susan Sinn, son-in-law Foster West, Sr.; grandchildren Foster West, Jr., Jonathan West of Cortlandt Manor NY; granddaughter Rachel Palombo of Poughkeepsie, NY; brother Richard Haskins Sr. of Ithaca, 2 great-grandchildren; 1 niece, 2 nephews; and "Aunt Nellie" was survived by many cousins. Nellie enjoyed reading, country music and was an avid NY Yankees fan. She worked for many years at Challenge Industries, and Wilcox Press. A Memorial Service/Luncheon will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Elks Lodge, 124 Coddington Road in Ithaca NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army 150 N. Albany St., Ithaca NY 14850.

Nellie and my grandmother sissy were very close, my grandma always told me that nellie gave herthat name because she'd always wanted a sister and my gram was the closest. even though i havent seen you in years, ill miss you every day. Im just happy that both you and gram have each other in heaven and finally are back with your parents and uncle bill.

Nellie and my Mom (Edith) were best friends. From being born hours apart on the same day, same year to skipping school to go to the movies. Nellie was/is a great friend as the gang is all together again in Heaven. Rest in Peace Nellie. May the memories of her give comfort to her love ones. God bless

Oh where to begin, you were so much more to me than a cousin you were my grandma. I will remember the countless peppermint patties and people magazines. RIP Nellie fly high my angel.
