Olive Barrett Obituary
CANDOR - Olive C. Barrett, 87, of Candor, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 31, 2008, at the Robert Packer Hospital.
Mrs. Barrett was predeceased by her husband, Paul Barrett; two sons, Douglas, Lawrence Barrett; daughter, Delores; two sisters, Marian Shoultes, Edna Cornell. She is survived by her son, Dale Barrett, Candor; daughter-in-law, Wendy Barrett, Slaterville; grandson, Scott Barrett; three great-grandchildren; nephew, Bill (Ruth) Cornell; nieces, Rose Golly, Joyce Warner, Marian Alexander; several great-nieces and nephews, several dear friends.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor. Arrangements are by the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home.

Olive was a wonderful lady that touched many lives, I know that my father (Gene Elliott) thought alot of her and her family. If there is anything we can do please call us.

To the Family:
My deepest sympathy to the family of Olive C. (Chrysler) Barrett who was the sister of my Aunt Marian (Chrysler) Shoultes. Aunt Marian was a teacher in Newark Valley for many years. Uncle Stacy Shoultes was the brother of my grandfather.
If Mrs. Barrett was anything like her sister, I'm sure you will have many happy memories.

Dale, I was sadden to hear of your Moms passing. I will always remember that querky little smile she had as she would tell me stories of the farm. She was a "book of knowledge." You should be very proud of her.
