Paulyne Wasilchak Obituary
ITHACA - Paulyne J. Wasilchak of Ithaca passed peacefully on May 20th at the age of 89. She resided at Bridges of Cornell Heights in her last year where she enjoyed the companionship and loving care of those who surrounded her.
Paulyne is predeceased by Myron, her husband of 57 years; daughter, Nancy Klemens; and brother, Jack Krohto of Ithaca. She is survived by her son, Harry and beloved daughter-in-law, Marlene of Pelham Manor, NY; siblings, Lillian Brewer of State College, PA, Bill Krohto of Norwood, MA, Mary Appleton of Clemmens, NC, and Peggy Skiver of Beaverton, OR.
Paulyne and Myron Wasilchak were married in Jessup, PA and moved to Ithaca in 1948 where they opened Ithaca Office Equipment, an Ithaca fixture for 50 years. Paulyne and Myron were one of the founding families of St. Catherine's of Sienna Church in Cayuga Heights and were active members of the Country Club of Ithaca. Both were active in the community serving on various local community organizations.
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, May 22, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bangs funeral home on W. Green St. in Ithaca with graveside services at Holy Ghost Cemetery in Jessup, PA on Saturday, May 23rd, at Noon.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospicare of Tompkins County at 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY.
