There are so many things that I could say, but there is just not enough room. You were a friend, a mentor and a member of our family. I have always been proud of my accomplishments in the music business, but you made me see just how much more could be accomplished. Your encouragement and belief made me a better musician and a better person. You never judged anyone you just gave your never ending support and love. You cared for Jack and I as if we were your own and we will be forever grateful. We are so thankful that we got to visit with you back in April. Whenever we visit Savannah, GA, we will always think of you. You are very special to us and we thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life as well as Glenda's. I am proud of a lot of things, and being a SanAnTone is one of them. Thank you for so many memories and thank you for your kindness. You will forever be in our hearts. We love you and we miss you!

Rubin played at the Elm Tree Inn, in McLean NY when I was a very young girl. I was allowed to listen about 5 minutes of him playing before I had to go home, But he always knew that if I was there he had to sing his "donkey song" for me.
When I got married it was the best present that we could have to have Rubin sing at our wedding. What a wonderful addition to a wonderful day.
Rubin was a very kind and loving person everyone in McLean loved him. He will be missed greatly by everyone that had the privilege of know him.
Rest In Peace. Diane & Robert Skinner

Rubin, it was a pleasure singing with your band on several occassions. You will forever be missed. But, God saw you were tired and weak, and knew you couldn't go on, so he picked you up and carried you to eternal rest in his arms, and that my dear friend is why there is only one set of FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND! God be with your family and friends in this their time of grief.
