Ruth Buck Obituary
Ruth Anna Berry Buck, age 94, of Lansing, NY passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio.
Born June 16, 1923 in Scipio, NY she was the daughter of the late Ray E. and Edith Jones Berry. After graduating Genoa High School in 1941 she went on to attend Business School in Ithaca and had been employed with the First National Bank in Ithaca. On October 2, 1948 she married Bertrand Leroy Buck, Jr. and became life partners on the family farm. Bucky died December 24, 1996. She was a member of the West Groton Bible Church.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Carol (Jim) Jaeger of Columbus, OH; son, David (Tammy) Buck of Lansing, NY; grandchildren, Zachary Jaeger of New York City, Erin Jaeger of Lansing, NY, Adam Buck of Lansing, NY, Darin (Mercedes Barber) Buck of Lansing, NY, Hilary (Pete McDonald) Cleveland of Brooktondale, NY; great grandchildren, Olivia and Lauren; many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition, she was predeceased by brothers, Francis Berry, Louis Berry, Ralph Berry and sister, Jean Berry Ayers.
Private funeral services will be held at Perkins Funeral Home, Dryden, NY with close family friend, Pastor Sam Neno officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Ithaca, NY. To the Buck Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Norma Howland and I used to ride our bikes and stop in to see Mrs. Buck. She always welcomed us and invited us to sit for a visit. These are wonderful memories for me.
