Ryan Michael McGowan, son of Kyle and Dori (Dollaway) McGowan of West Seneca, NY was born at Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY on December 8, 2014. He was born at 11:14 a.m. and passed away three hours later, peacefully in his mother's arms. Ryan was a true miracle for his family even though his time with us was cut short. Ryan shared in many adventures including: attending various Buffalo Sabres and Bills games, visiting Niagara Falls, seeing the Stanley Cup, the SNOWvember storm, and various concerts. He blessed our lives with months of growth, stretching, and hiccups, but his favorite things were snuggling with his fur-sisters, listening to the saxophone at church, and Wendy's chicken sandwiches. It is hard to believe that someone so small could leave such an imprint on this world. Ryan taught us so much about life, love, family and faith in nine short months. He truly touched the hearts of his proud parents, grandparents, godparents, friends and hospital staff. The time we spent with him was a perfect ending to a beautiful life. His memory will continue in our hearts and reinforce how precious every moment we have with our children and family really are. We love you so much little guy, and even though you were only in our arms for a moment we will carry you forever in our hearts. Ryan is survived by his grandparents, Steven (Jill) Dollaway, Lisa Raponi (Randy) Davis, and Mike (Jan) McGowan. Our family would like to especially thank all of the amazing and compassionate staff at Women and Children's Hospital for their perfect care of Ryan. A Memorial Service will be held for Ryan at St. John Vianney Church in Orchard Park, NY at 2 p.m. on December 22.
