Van was a great athlete, he took care of his body, didn't drink much, he did not smoke. It just doesn't make sense that he developed cancer and it took over his body. It is frustrating! Van was a good person, one of my closest friends., I miss him.

I met Vann several years ago at a company in the area. Our desks were right next to each other and we ended up becoming good freinds. I remember his funny stories, his golf course antics and most of all his honesty about anything. Even after he moved out of state, he always checked in with me to see how things were going. He was a great person and I am going to miss him. My thoughts are with the Oung family. Rest in peace Vann the Man.

Vann will be deeply missed by all. I will miss all the times that I would awake to find that Vann has broken into my house on his way home from college. I will also miss the competition/companionship he gave me on the links. We love you monkey.

I'll miss Vann dearly. He was like a brother to me during our school years. Although it's been 13 years since I've seen him, we spoke periodically, always promising to visit. Vann was too young. My family extends our sympathy to the Oung Family. May your spirit be restored as you are reminded that his soul is with our everlasting Father in Heaven.

My prayers and deepest sympathies are with the Oung family and all others that knew and loved Vann. He was an incredible young man and friend whose life ended much too soon. Vann is like a brother to my husband Veng. From the first time I met Vann almost seven years ago, he quickly embraced me into their tight family of friends. Although I know he will always be with us in spirit, I will miss his physical presence, especially his kind and sometimes mischievous smile, his stories from when they guys were growing up, and of course his humor.

My best memories of Vann were during our fishing trips. We would spend all night prior preparing our fishing equipment and then wake up at three in the morning so we could catch baitfish before sunrise. We must have landed hundreds of fish during those times, so much that our parents did not want anymore because they became tired of cleaning fish. Vann did end up catching the biggest fish when he landed a 42-inch lake trout. My deepest condolences to the Oung family and to others who were touched by Vann.
