Viola Bailey Obituary
Viola Jean Bailey, Our Beloved Matriarch, of Ithaca 95 passed away on July 17, 2016. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 28, 20016 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the St. James AME Zion Church in Ithaca. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 at St. James. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements are entrusted to Herson- Wagner Funeral Home, 110 S. Geneva St., Ithaca, NY.

Kathy I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing may her soul rest in perfect peace. Teet(Viola)was a very kind, caring and wise person a fragrant flower that would brighten any room. I remember many talks we had ,the laughter
and her wonderful sense of humor.They say it takes a village and I am so grateful Teet was a leader in our village on Cleveland Ave. The words of wisdom teet gave me when I was in the hospital in 1969 will never be forgotten and has stayed with me she held my hand, hugged me and showed me what some folks only talked about unconditional love. I thank you and will never forget you!!

I will miss her strength combined with passion. She was able to see the good inside you through all the imperfections. I thank the LORD for putting her in my life.
