William Sager Obituary
William George Sager of Burdett passed away at home on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the age of 76. Bill was born in Seneca Falls on March 7, 1938, a son of the late Donald and Helen (Royce) Sager. He worked various places over the years and was an excellent carpenter. An outdoorsman at heart, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved vegetable and flower gardening. Bill is survived by his longtime companion, Janette Allen; a son James (Cathie) Sager; four daughters, Susan (James) Cole, Donna (David Parker) Sprouse, Janet (Michael McWhorter) Sager, and Helen Orlando and his extended family, Suzanne and David Allen; ten grandchildren, Raleigh and Racheal Sprouse, Brandon and Bridgette Cole, and Aaron Tyler and James Trever Sager, Adam, Sofia, Jake and Julia; and a brother, Donald Sager. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Smith. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Trumansburg. We are very sorry to hear of Bills passing. We did not see him to many times but when we did they were always good times. We will try to make the memorial service. It seems that is the only time families get together. I pray that Bill is in a better place and with God.
