WILLIAM STANLEY SELDIN
William Stanley Seldin, 58, passed away February 25, 2004 at home surrounded by his family. He is the beloved husband and father of Amy and Elizabeth who will miss him "all the world."In addition to Amy and Elizabeth, Bill is survived by his mother, Rose Seldin (Columbia, SC); his son, Chris Seldin, and daughters, Naomi and Danby Seldin. Bill is also survived by his sister, Sandy; brother, Tony; cousins, Donald (Trina) Cohan, Richard (Tsian) Seldin; and predeceased by his father, Herman Seldin. Bill also leaves his lovely co-workers, Lee, Paul, Karen, Wes, Arline and Rita; and his extended Ithaca family and friends who loved him very much.Bill was born in Philadelphia, PA, graduated from Great Neck North High School, Ithaca College and Brooklyn Law School, before setting up his law practice in Ithaca, New York.Bill believed in finding the humor in life, always helping other and never giving up. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 636. He served in the Army as a Lieutenant in Korea during the Vietnam War. He thoroughly enjoyed practicing law and in turn touched so many lives. He helped found G.I.A.C. and has been and will always be a part of the G.I.A.C. family. Last but certainly not least, he was a life long supporter and player of Ithaca College Lacrosse.He was the best husband anyone could ever have and the best Dad ever. We will miss him forever but know he is in the arms of God.A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Monday, March 1, 2004, at 3:30 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. Burial in King Cemetery will be delayed until spring.
