GLEN W. UNRAU Glen W. Unrau, 94, of Goessel, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Bethesda Home. Born on June 25, 1930, in Goessel, to Rufus B. and Mathilda (Nikkel) Unrau. Glen was a lifelong member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel. He lived a long and fulfilling life, deeply rooted in the community. Glen graduated from Lehigh High School and earned his Bachelor's degree from Bethel College in North Newton. On June 12, 1952, Glen married Mary Lou Voth at the Tabor Mennonite Church. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2021. Glen established a crop and livestock farm southeast of Goessel while also teaching elementary education at local schools. His passion for farming led him to sell farm equipment and become part owner of American Farm Supply in McPherson. He enjoyed sales and opened a Mennonite Mutual Aid office in North Newton. He retired from sales and continued to help on the family farm. He is survived by his sons, Lynel (Vickie) Unrau, DeAlan (Alma) Unrau, and Vance (Candace) Unrau;daughter, Lucia Unrau (Peter Terry); grandchildren, Ashley (Andy) Bingham, Chad (Mindy) Unrau,Brianna (Preston) Combs, Zane (Joy) Unrau, Jared (Laura) Unrau, Ty (Kaitlin) Unrau, Tara (Chad) Hershberger, Trey (Courtney) Unrau, Dylan Terry, Elyse Taylor (Holden), and Kallen Terry (Kevin Switzer); eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Unruh; sister-in-law, Karen (Schmidt) Unrau and brother-in-law, Lester (Lois) Voth. Glen was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Rufus Unrau Jr., and Robert Unrau; sister-in-law Leola (Wedel) Unrau and brother-in-law Virgil Unruh. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, Goessel. Private burial will take place at the church cemetery.
