LIBBY ERIN TORREZ Libby Erin Torrez, born on January 22nd, 1986, brought an abundance of love and warmth into the world until she went home to her Lord on November 27th, 2023. Born to Arthur "Art" E. Torrez and Naomi E. (Jenkins) Torrez in Wichita, Kansas, she embraced life with an unwavering passion that touched the hearts of all who knew her. A devoted mother above all else, Libby's love for her sons, Joshua and Hunter, was boundless. Her days were filled with joy as she nurtured and cherished her boys, infusing their lives with laughter, guidance, and immeasurable affection. Libby's dedication to motherhood was unparalleled, shaping her days around her children's happiness and growth. Her passion for cooking brought vibrancy to her home; she found solace and joy in the kitchen, creating delicious meals that mirrored her love and care for her family. Her love for makeup was a testament to her creativity, using it as a canvas to express herself, adding colors to her life just as she did to those around her. Music was an integral part of Libby's life. From her days in the El Dorado High School choir to her time at Butler Community College, her voice left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to hear her sing. Her love for music was a reflection of her soul, resonating in every note she sang. Her compassionate nature extended beyond her immediate family. Libby's kindness and thoughtfulness were evident in her consistent calls to friends and family, always checking in and ensuring their well-being. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her friendships were cherished treasures. She found great joy in decorating for all of the holidays. Libby would spend months at a time finding and crafting the best birthday parties for her boys. Christmas time was her favorite. At Libby's home, you would find a fully decorated tree, lit the day after Halloween. Libby's legacy is one of boundless love, unwavering dedication to family, and a heart that touched the lives of many. Her memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. In her sons, Joshua and Hunter, her spirit lives on. She is also survived by her parents, Art Torrez and Naomi (Jenkins) Torrez; sisters, Jocelyn (John Wenner) Torrez and Marcela Marquez and two fur babies, Sassy and Oreo. Friends may gather with Libby's family on Thursday, November 30 from 5-7 PM at Carlson Colonial Chapel with a recitation of the rosary following at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in El Dorado on Friday, December 1st at 10AM.
