Ronald Baxter Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie" Clyde Baxter Jr., of Newton, died Saturday (June 28, 2014) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born on Aug. 24, 1971, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Ronald Clyde and Carol Forrester Baxter Jr. Ronnie was raised in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and graduated from high school in Pea Ridge, Arkansas.

Ronnie married Tisha Jean Anderson on July 27, 2002, in Wichita. They continued to live in Wichita until moving to Newton a year ago.

Ronnie had been a member of the Iron Workers Union, Local #24, in Wichita for several years.

Survivors include his wife, Tisha of the home in Newton; children, Ronnie III, Katie, Braeden and Melissa; his parents, Ron and Carol of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; sisters, Kelli and Scott McIntosh, Staci and Steve Woodruff, Traci and Chris Mayfield; his grandfather, Kenneth Forrester; and several nieces and nephews.

Tisha and the children would like to invite their friends and co-workers to join them in a celebration of Ronnie's life at 7 p.m. Tuesday (July 8, 2014) at the Faith Mennonite Church in Newton.

A separate memorial service will be held at a later date by Ronnie's family in Oklahoma.

There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected.

A memorial has been established with the Kidney Foundation; contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.

Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton.
