SCOTT MANNING GRONAU
Scott Manning Gronau, 56, of Pittsburg, Kansas, died Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, following an illness. Scott was born on September 16, 1969, in Ft Scott, Kansas, to Orin P. and Kathleen F. (Manning) Gronau.
Scott grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas, alongside his parents and younger brother, Michael Joe Gronau. He attended Lakeside Elementary, then Pittsburg Middle and High School. In 1992, he obtained his CDL license at Ft Scott Jr. College along with his dad. He drove for a number of years for Speedway in Holdredge, Nebraska, hauling livestock, first teaming with his dad and later on becoming a single driver.Â

Scott was involved in 4-H as a youth and volunteered at the Cherokee County Fair as an adult. Growing up, Scott competed in bull riding, which was one of his favorite activities alongside hunting/fishing with both friends and family alike. He also often enjoyed shooting with friends or his children whenever he could. Scott was considered a hard-working and good-hearted man who loved his children more than anything else and often went out of his way for them.
Scott was most recently married to Allison Leet, who has remained a support. Previously, Scott was married to Christine Griffith, the mother of Blake Gronau, and Sheila Shepherd Wright, the mother of Andrew Shepherd and Olivia Gronau.
