Julie Warneke Obituary

Lake City, MN - Julie A. Warneke, 63, of Lake City, MN, died on March 1, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness.

Juile was born on October 17, 1961 to Darrell and Carol (Dierking) Warneke of Kenyon, MN. She graduated from Kenyon High School in 1980 after which she lived in several different cities that offered special needs programs, mostly through Lutheran Social Services. For over 20 years she enjoyed spending time with her roommates in Lake City, MN; Tracy, Linda and Kelly. They enjoy going out to eat, bowling and volunteering in the Lake City community.

Julie is survived by her brother's Jeff (Janet) of Zumbrota, MN, John (Ruth) of River Falls, WI, Nephew's Jared (Samantha), Nathan (Lexi), Eric (Jessie) and Luke, Niece's Kaitlin (Jeffrey), Megan and Jamie (Zain). Great Nephew and Niece's Addie, Hazel, Josie, Colby, Lila, Mason, Caysen.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Carol, brother Brent and sister-in-law Kimberly Warneke.

Family members would like to thank the staff at Lake City Care Center and LSS Group Home in Lake City for the years of kindness and care shown to Julie.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
