Robert L. Haller

1932 - 2025

Kenyon - Robert "Bob" L. Haller, age 92, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in Sebring, Florida. He was born on September 2, 1932, in Wanamingo, Minnesota, to the late Harry and Selma Haller.

Bob grew up in Wanamingo, graduating from Wanamingo High School before farming alongside his father. He proudly served in the United States Army for two years, where he was stationed in Hawaii and worked as a cook. After his service, Bob returned to farming for many years. Upon retiring from farming, he continued to share his talents and warm spirit by working at the local elevator and preparing lunches for farmers. He also helped His wife Vi run her daycare providing dozens of families with great memories.

Bob and Vi spent their retirement in Florida. After Vi's death, he met his beloved Phyllis and They lived in Avon Park, Florida for 13 years. The two shared a deep love and companionship that was admired by all who knew them. Bob was blessed with 3 wonderful partners bringing joy and love into his life.

Known for his kind heart, humor, and frugality, Bob loved people and never missed a chance to make someone smile. He found joy in cooking, entertaining, camping, antiquing, and, above all, spending time with his family.

He is survived by Phyllis Gray; his children Mary Schumacher (Chris Elhard), Cindy (Mike) Fandel, Rick (Angela) Eggert, Randy(Debbie) Eggert, Les (Angie) Eggert, and Vicki (Bruce) Dietz; 27 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Vi Haller; his son, Ron Haller; his daughter, Libby Denny; and other extended family members who welcomed him home.

Bob's legacy is one of love, laughter, and family. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him.

There will be a Celebration of Life September 13, 2025 at the Kenyon VFW 601 2nd St A, Kenyon, MN 55946. From 1pm to 4PM a light lunch will be served.
