James Raymond Bryan

1955 - 2015

LANCASTER – Mr. James Raymond Bryan, 60, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 12, 1955, in Richmond, Va., a son of the late James Aaron Bryan and Barbara Annie Conley.
Mr. Bryan lived life to the fullest, with many things he considered accomplishments. He was married to the love of his life, Donna J. Adkison Bryan, for the last 38 years. In those years, he got to live out his passion of firearms and train many in concealed carry. His students were more to him than just people; they were his friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Bryan will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Lancaster Funeral Home chapel, with the Pastor Jeannie Carter officiating.
Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife, Donna J. Adkison Bryan of Lancaster; a son, James A. Bryan and his wife, Jessica, of Lancaster; two daughters, Kimberly Hargett Simmons and her husband, Larry, and Crystal L. White and her husband, Shawn, all of Kannapolis, N.C.; three sisters, Joyce Bell and her husband, Levitt, of Powhatan, Va., Jeannie Carter and her husband, Scott, of Staunton, Va., and Heather Childress and her husband, Matt, of Henrico, Va.; eight grandchildren, Destiny, Luke and Alex Bryan, Chris, Kayla, Jordan, Justin and Benjamin White; two great-grandchildren; three nephews; five nieces; six great-nephews; five great-nieces; and a great-great nephew.
The family will receive friends at the home of Aaron and Jessica Bryan, 1825 High Point Circle, Lancaster.
