James Crumpler Obituary
Born on April 9, 1943, in Franklin, VA, the son of the late Elbert Norwood Crumpler and Dorothy Kyle Crumpler. Jim was a man of deep faith and a kind heart. Jim owned and operated Iseley Surveying Company for 30+ years. He was a well-standing member in the Jackson Masonic Lodge and St. Luke Methodist Church. He loved hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and never missed a UNC Tar Heels game. His kindness and generosity did not go unseen throughout the community.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn Crumpler; daughter, Mary Angela Whitaker; and one brother, Edward Crumpler.
He is survived by his brother, David Crumpler (Barbra); son, James Cameron Crumpler Jr. (Kes); three grandchildren, Morgan Spitler (Jeremy), Meredith Crumpler (Eric), and Gage Martin (Grant); and two great-grandchildren who all adored their "Papa."
A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Jim Crumpler will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Eddie Usher officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Lancaster Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Luke Methodist Church.
