Joanne Sistare Obituary

LANCASTER, S.C. - Joanne Brown Sistare, 72, of Lancaster, S.C., passed away on Sept. 21, 2025.
Born Feb. 20, 1953, the daughter of the late Jessie Brown Sr. and the late Olga Byars Brown.
Joanne, a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, will be remembered for her quiet faith as a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and her deep love for nature. She found joy in the simple pleasures of watching hummingbirds, tending to her flowers, and the companionship of her beloved dogs. She was an avid creator of beautiful diamond paintings. Her presence will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jasper Lee Sistare; her son, Brad Sistare (Larisa); her two grandchildren, Louis Crocker and Dixie Crocker; her nieces, Norma B. Streuber and Lesley Segee-Haynes; her great niece, Shana Ashley; and her two sisters-in-law, Martha Ray Segee and Ida Mae Wallace (Jack).
She was preceded in death by her son, Jasper "Scott" Sistare; her daughter, Dana Lynn McIsaac; her parents, Jessie Brown and Olga Brown; three brothers and three sisters.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Joanne will be held privately.
