Virginia Horton Obituary

LANCASTER, S.C. - Mrs. Virginia Hicks Horton, age 93, passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 2025, at her home.
She was born Sept. 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Emanuel Jackson Hicks and the late Alice Beatrice Barefoot Hicks and was the loving wife of the late Coleman Horton.
Virginia, who had a long-standing membership at Temple Baptist Church of Lancaster, S.C., found joy in gardening and spending time outdoors, with Hamrick's being her favorite shopping spot.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Dale Sullivan (Edward); her grandchildren, Cole Horton, Nikki Jones (Mac), and her granddaughter-in-"love," Wendy Horton; her great-grandchildren, Caysen Horton, Max Horton, and Cael Moser; and a special friend, Becky Jones.
She was preceded in death by her son, Frankie Horton; her husband, Coleman Horton; her parents, Emanuel and Alice Hicks; and her brother, Frank Hicks.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church, Attn: General Funds, 45 Springdale Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
