He will be lovingly missed by his devoted wife of 67 years, Loretta (Sletten) Wittig of New Richmond Wi and daughters Ginny Rassier (Roger) of Osceola WI, and Ann Johnson (Mark) of Jefferson, MA and grandchildren Jeremy Rassier (Nikki), Rebecca Litchfield (Matthew), Laura Rassier, Amy Djus (Yevhen), Christopher Rassier (Taylor), Daniel Johnson (Rebecca), Benjamin Johnson and great grandchildren Kaleb Rassier, Noah Litchfield, Sophia Litchfield, Luke Litchfield, Adelyn Djus, Matthew Rassier and Mykhailo Djus. He will be fondly remembered by his Radke and Wittig cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Wittig Sr and Florence (Radke) Wittig of New Richmond WI.
Ken earned his undergraduate and masters degrees from Stout University in Menomonie, WI where he met the love of his life, Loretta. He proudly served in the US Army reserves for 8 years and spent his career shaping lives in many ways: as a school teacher, a guidance counselor, corporate sales trainer, area manager for Successful Living, and most profoundly as an Associate Pastor at Holden Chapel, Holden MA, and Elder at Calvary Chapel in New Richmond. Ken's calling was clear - to serve people and shine the light and love of Jesus wherever he went.
Ken loved people and people in return loved him. He treasured his family and friends from everywhere and he thoroughly enjoyed their times together in Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and Florida. Although Ken's race has finished he has left an impact of faith, encouragement and prayer, in the lives he touched.
Family and friends will gather at Calvary Chapel 258 N 3rd St. New Richmond Friday July 25, 2025 to celebrate Ken's life. Visitation 12PM to 1PM with a 2PM service to follow. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery 263 WI-35 Osceola. A meal will be served by his church family back at Calvary Chapel.
A special thanks to all the friends and relatives who visited Ken in his final weeks. We are deeply grateful to the Deerfield and Lakeview hospice staff for their compassionate care in Ken's final days.
