Joan Upthegrove Obituary
Joan was born on Dec. 24, 1934 in Kelso, Wash., the daughter of William and Claudia Bevard.
Joan was raised in Wayne, Mich. before moving up to the Kalkaska and Mancelona area. She loved going to dinner, watching her animals, making crafts and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Rodney (Samantha) Upthegrove and Lonnie McMurtrie, both of Mancelona; grandchildren, Savanah, Courtney, Bo and Desiree; one brother, Bill (Judy) Bevard; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; one brother and sister.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Mark McCool officiating. Visitation will take place from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301. The Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements. Please sign her guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com
