Ann Florence Askew Tidwell

Ann Florence Askew Tidwell, age 87 of Oak Grove, KY, died on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Fountainview Center for Alzheimer's Disease in Atlanta, GA.

She was born on March 3, 1926 in Clarksville, TN to the late John Couts Askew and Barbara Barker Askew. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Tidwell; three brothers, J.C. Askew, Jr., Laurin B. Askew and Peter M. Askew; and one sister, Barbara A. Haynes.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 4 p.m., at Askew Family Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Hazelrigg officiating.

Ann was a retired school teacher with Fulton County Schools.

She is survived by two sons, Laurin Tidwell of Woodstock, GA and Darrell Tidwell of Atlanta, GA; brother, William L. "Tommy" Askew of Trenton, KY; and four grandchildren, Hillary Tidwell, Joseph Tidwell, David Tidwell, and Aubrey Tidwell.

I have retired from Dr. Cha's office, but when I was working Mrs. Tidwell was one of my favorite pts. She was always so kind and always had a smile on her face. Prayers are with your family.
