I only know Bert from my daily trip to McDonald's for breakfast. He and his daughter would faithfully show up every day at about the same time I did. We always spoke briefly usually about the weather and sometimes on news events of the past day. I fully expected to find him one morning having breakfast ("Big Breakfast" with lots of ketchup) after a speedy convalescence. I deeply and sincerely regret the loss of this wonderful person. I know his memory will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew him well and loved him most. My prayers and blessings to all of you!!!

There was no one in this world like my Uncle Bert! Not only was he my mom's brother, he was one of her best friends...he shared his life with me from when I barely knew how to walk and talk, and as recently as last October, he was still calling me 'Sugah'. Prayers for my cousins as they walk this journey, but celebration for Uncle Bert to be free of pain and on the journey of eternity. Deepest sympathies. love, Martha
