Chanel Martin Obituary
The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at Greater Missionary Baptist Church with Overseer Danelle Stephens and Pastor Willie J. Freeman officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Henry Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Ayanna Martin; her mother Sybriena Burton, father Richard Louis Burton, brother, Richard Jerel Burton and best friend Octavia Wright of Clarksville; grandparents; Peggy Burton and Willie Burton, aunts, Freda and Veronica Burton, cousins, Joe Winston Kelly and Gabriel Burton of Milwaukee, WI; great aunts, Lizzie Mason of Dyersburg, Tn., and Mary Tait of Detroit, MI; great uncles, David and Charles Mason of Muncie, IN; Floyd Mason of Dyersburg and a host of other cousins and friends.

My prayers go out to Chanel's family and friends. I treasure the fact that I was able to visit with Chanel this past Christmas. I will keep forever the memories that I have of us hanging out on Shiloh Road. It was nice living across the street from one another. God Bless you Chanel! I will miss you my friend!

May the lord be with Chanel's family and friends in this time of sadness. I have known Chanel since we were kids and she was a wonderful person always smiling and laughing, this is truly a devastating loss, she will be missed. I know that it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. In our hearts Chanel has become a star in the sky, which are openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.
